Introduction Edition Visualization

This visualization shows omissions and additions found in the two English translations of Les Mystères de l’Inquisition. The center section represents the original French text, with those sections omitted in the George Peirce edition indicated at the top and those omitted in the London Journal edition indicated below. Hovering over sections indicates the movement of material between the editions—for example, while the Peirce edition largely follows the order of the French text, the London Journal edition makes several major changes to the order of material.
